Deep South Assistant Pastors Cabin Conference

Greetings,

One of the many blessings I’ve experienced over the forty-two year history of Calvary Chapel Stone Mountain is the faithful assistance of our Pastor James. James Chapman has served our church for forty-one of those forty-two years. I shouldn’t say he’s seen it all; for once I do, something else will surprise us. But Pastor James has experienced a lot in his four decades of ministry, and he’s done so through the eyes of a pastor who was called and has been contented to be an assistant.

In recent days the Lord has laid it on our hearts to double down on helping the Calvary Chapels we can influence. Pastor James came to me with the idea of having a conference for assistant pastors and the issues that are peculiar to the guy who is second in command. I am excited about his idea and the crucial help this will bring to both assistant pastors and the pastors they assist.

We want this gathering to be affordable and interactive, so we have decided to host it on our church campus. We have a log home that sleeps ten. We can accommodate folks overnight and feed them as well. The cost will be $50 per person and will be November 4-6th.
